How to import Chrome, Edge, and Safari bookmarks into ClippingMini

Bookmarks tend to pile up after you have used a browser for a while. Saving every link again when you switch to a new tool is not practical. Chrome, Edge, and Safari can export bookmarks as an HTML file, and ClippingMini can read that file and save all its links at once.

In ClippingMini, open Settings → Data → Import content. The same screen accepts both HTML files exported from a browser and Excel files exported from ClippingMini.

All you need to move your bookmarks is the HTML file exported by your browser.

1. Export bookmarks from your browser

First, save your bookmarks as an HTML file. The menu names differ slightly between browsers, but you do not need an extension.

• Export bookmarks from Chrome
• Back up favorites in Edge
• Export bookmarks from Safari

In recent Safari versions, Export Browsing Data to File may create a ZIP file. ClippingMini cannot upload the ZIP directly. Unzip it first, then select the Bookmarks.html file inside.

2. Open Import content in ClippingMini

Open ClippingMini on a computer, go to Settings → Data, and select Import content. This menu is not available on mobile.

Drag a file into the dashed area or select Choose from my computer. This screen accepts two file types:

• .html exported from Chrome, Edge, or Safari
• .xlsx exported from ClippingMini

You cannot upload a regular CSV file or a ZIP file created by Safari as-is.

3. Review and select the links to import

After reading the HTML file, ClippingMini shows the link list before saving anything. Review the titles, then clear the checkbox for any item you do not want to import.

The number at the bottom left shows content already saved + items currently selected / plan limit. If adding the selected links would exceed the limit, you cannot save them. Deselect anything you do not need first.

4. Where imported links are saved

Select Save to add the chosen links to My Folder. Even if the HTML file contains several bookmark folders, the current import feature does not recreate that folder structure. It collects all links in My Folder.

Imported links work like any other content. Once the import is complete, open My Folder, move the links you need into separate folders, and tidy up their titles or notes.

Before you import

• Import content is available on a computer.
• From HTML files, ClippingMini primarily imports link URLs and titles.
• The browser's original bookmark folder structure is not preserved.
• The number of items you can save depends on your plan's content limit.
• After the file is read, you can choose again which links are actually saved.

If you have many bookmarks, it helps to remove old links in the browser before exporting them. After the import, use My Folder as a temporary inbox and move only the resources you still need into topic folders. This makes the collection easier to organize than copying every old bookmark without review.
